Breathtaking Norwegian Fjords

Oslo–Flam–Voss–Ulvik–Bergen

Hardangerfjord is an amazing example of nature's ultimate beauty. Among Norwegian fjords, Hardangerfjord is the second largest in Norway and the third largest fjord in the world. The Hardangerfjord is located in the county of Hordaland, a gem that gets its lofty character from its most fortunate location among (overlooking?) breathtaking Norwegian fjords views.

Begin your Hardangerfjord adventure with a Norwegian tour that originates in Oslo and ends in Bergen, or start in Bergen and end in Oslo. Either way, this journey is filled with some of the most amazing vistas you've ever set eyes on. A tour of the narrow and exceedingly charming Hallingdal valley is not to be overshadowed by your Hardanger Plateau crossing, Europe's largest mountain plateau. You'll enjoy a 12 mile Flam railway adventure as nature puts on a glorious show of snow capped mountains, thundering waterfalls and valleys lush with flora. Among your Hardangerfjord adventure you'll experience the remarkable beauty of Naeroydal Valley, known for its rainbow waterfalls and vast mountains. Arrival in Voss puts you between Hardangerfjord and Sognfjord, two of Norway's most famous fjords. Your journey includes precious time spent in Ulvik with its May orchard blossoms and red autumn apples, plus stunning mountain reflections in the deep blue fjord any season of the year. Norheimsund is revealed with a sail through ravines and orchards, and you'll surely hold your breath as you traverse the Tokagjelet Ravine.

Bergen, known as the "City Between the Seven Mountains," is a perfect way to either begin or end your two day Hurtigruten adventure with its bustling, capital city appeal.
